Yesterday we had the privilege of attending Tony & Jennifer Warner’s wedding. It was beautiful! Thank for inviting us.
We camped for the night at Rivershire RV park in Ponca City to shorten our travel time today. We storm chased the whole way from Norman to Ponca City. Almost settled in and we were placed under a tornado warning. We jumped into the truck with dogs to move to a safer area, hoping the trailer will be OK.
Retuned to the travel trailer to no damage. However not everyone was so lucky. Claremore, OK and a few other places are in need today. If you are in Oklahoma, any effort to assist would be helpful.
Rivershire RV Park, newly renovated in the spring of 2024, greeted us this morning with a beautiful view of the Salt Fork River. If you're in Northern Oklahoma and support small businesses, we highly recommend this park. We discovered it through a Facebook post in the Forest River Owner's group and knew it was the perfect starting point for our journey.
Up before the sun, we were loaded and ready to pull out for our first long leg of the trip. 523 miles today before we can call it a night. Excited, Eager, Exilerated, soon to be Exhausted.
